Eye on the Arctic: Global warming is having a profound effect on the circumpolar world. Late ice formation and early melt are changing animal behaviour and ancestral travel routes long used by Inuit. These disruptions to traditional hunting patterns are stressing the social fabric in many Inuit communities -- places already grappling with problems from substance abuse to suicide.
